Windex works fine, but with free window cleaning tips you can make your own, home-made non-toxic cleaner. Clean windows windex does not have to be the first thing to come to mind. Use these tips to make your own cleaner. Yes you can make it from basic ingredients, in your kitchen cubboard. You can clean windows with vinegar.

The recipe is, distilled white vinegar and water. There is only one problem. It may leave streaks.

Then why use it? You may ask. The problem is that commercial products that had been used for years, left a wax buildup, on the glass that vinegar did not remove.

Add a little dish washing liquid to the mix. This will remove the residue.

The next time you clean your windows, just use plain white vinegar. Guess what! No more streaks.

How to Clean Windows

If you are going to clean the whole house, and do not want to spend hours polishing.Try using a squeegee, it's a lot quicker but it does require some practice.

Go to a janitorial supply store, and buy a professional quality squeegee.Do not go to your local supermarket to buy one, because they are poor quality and will not work well. Before you start, wipe the blade with a damp cloth. A dry blade will hop on the glass.

Do not clean in direct sunlight, as the cleaning solution will dry too quickly and cause streaks.
