When wet carpet is in your house, fast action is very important. You may wonder if it can be saved, the answer is yes. Water removal must take place quickly because mold will begin to grow in wet or damp areas, and once it has started growing it is very difficult to eliminate. Things you can do to reduce the likelihood of damage . Check for leaks. Fridge Check behind for any leaks or wetness, check ice-maker hose. Sink Check for signs of leaks and slow drains. Radiators Check for slow leaks when the heat is on,these slow leaks can cause a lot of damage over time, including wall, floor and ceiling damage. Bathroom Check floor for missing grout and caulk next to the bath tub. Check for possible areas in shower where water can cause damage, and re grout and caulk. Turn off water to any areas that can freeze. Turn off water to washing machine when not in use. When on vacation, turn off main
