Clean Vomit Stain from Carpet
A vomit stain left on your carpet by your cat or dog is going to be more difficult to clean up than a wine spill or any liquid on your carpet. It can happen because your pet may have eaten too fast,or may be caused by stress.
When cleaning-vomit from carpet try to clean up as quickly as possible, as food dyes can discolor fabric or carpet. It can also dry into the carpet fibers, and become very difficult to remove. The best chance for success, is to clean it up while it is still fresh. If you wait and give it time to dry, you will not only have a stain on your carpet, you probably will also have an unpleasant odor coming from it. By cleaning it as soon as you see it, you will be able to save a lot of work. The stain can be removed and it is also possible to prevent any strong pet odor that may be left behind in the carpet fibers. Remove Carpet Stain use a spoon or fork to remove solid or dried materials from the carpet. If the stain is large ,work from the outside to prevent it from spreading,blot up the liquids with a paper towel. Make a solution of 1 teaspoon detergent and 1 quart water and blot the stain.Do not rub the stain into the carpet or use a brush ,as it might damage the fibers. Remember to wear rubber gloves ,as you blot the detergent into the carpet. Wet the carpet with clean water while cleaning as much as you can. Rinse with more clean water.Place paper towels onto the area and replace when they have absorbed the liquid.
