Allow baking soda to remain until it dries, then vacuum up. Baking soda is a good odor neutralizer.

If smells are persistent an ionic air cleaner can also help. Spraying perfumed aerosol room deodorizers will mask it for a short while but will not result in eliminating pet odor but it will mask it for a while.

Regular bathing and grooming of your pet will keep smells down.A lot of it is hormonal, an attraction smell. Spaying or neutering should reduce it.
