Removing Ink Stains



Removing ink stains from carpet may seem difficult, but there are a few ways to clean it out without damaging the carpet. Carpet ink removal stain is more difficult than a regular stain. Accidents and spills on carpet can not be avoided, so what are the best carpet stain removers ? The first thing is to act quickly, before it dries in. Blott the area, do not rub it because it will make it more difficult to get clean.

Candle Wax and Chewing Gum

Place a bag of ice on top, then chip away with a spoon. Blott with detergent solution.

Crayon

Scrape up as much as you can with a spoon handle. Gently scrub with a soft bristled brush soaked in soapy water. do not over wet the carpet. Dab dry with a clean dry cloth.

Grease and Oil

Dust with baking soda, to soak it up. Wait 3 hours then vacuum. Dab with mild laundry detergent, and clean with water. Blot dry.

Pen/Ink

Sponge with a little nail-polish remover, only on color-fast carpet.Follow with a detergent solution. Blot with cold water.

Shoe Polish

Will come off with with turpentine.
