Removing Coffee Stains Carpet

If you spill coffee on the carpet, the most important thing is removing coffee stains carpet spills and liquids as quickly as possible. If you have scotchguard on the carpets it will protect the fibers and prevent the coffee from soaking into the fibers and make it easier to remove coffee stain from the carpet.

It will also be easier to clean. For black without milk, blot the stain with cold water. If water alone does not get out the stain, try blotting with mild laundry detergent and water. Rinse with water.

If the stain is really stubborn, which can be the problem when removing coffee stains because it stains the carpet fibers. Mix a few drops of white vinegar in to the detergent and water mixture. Rinse thoroughly. If the stain still does not come out, try some hydrogen peroxide.

Rinse between each step, before trying the next step. For late with milk or cream, as a final step blot with mild laundry detergent mixed with a few drops of ammonia.

If you have an enzyme-based detergent blot the stain also. rinse with clean water. Do not get the carpet too wet. Blot dry with paper towels.

Crayon Marks

If you have a young michael angello or picasso living in your house, they may not be able to to reach the ceiling but they do love the walls, furniture, and carpets.

I have used WD-40 to remove crayon marks from many surfaces. To get crayon off brick or concrete, spray the stain with WD-40 and brush with a stiff brush. Then spray again, and wipe with a soft cloth.

For crayon on smooth surfaces such as glass, metal, vinyl floors, painted walls, or wood floors, spray with WD-40 and wipe with a soft cloth.

If the stain is still there, use a sponge to wash the area with warm water and and liquid dishwashing detergent. The secret to getting out stains is to act quickly. Do not use WD-40 on carpets. It leaves a residu in the carpet, and it is very difficult to rinse out. It also may leave an odor.
