How do you remove wax from carpet without ruining it. Once it gets hardened into your carpeting you may believe that the best way to fix the problem is to rip up the carpet and buy a new one, but there is an easy fix, to the problem.

Allow it to freeze. Chip off as much as you can. Next, lay brown paper on top and press with a medium iron. Move the paper as it absorbs so that you don't redeposit and stain the carpet.

Have patience and continue as long as it melts on to the brown paper bag. Use new brown paper bags until they are not absorbing stains any more.

Premature Wear

The enemies of carpet are dirt and stains. Dirt is unattractive, and it causes premature wear. Stains look bad and they attract dirt.

After all the wax is blotted up, sprinkle some baking soda onto it, let it stay overnight, and then vacuum it up. If candle spills on upholstery, first put a bag of ice on the spill and leave it long enough to freeze.

Remove the ice and chip away as much as you can. Next place a brown paper bag over the stain and use a medium/hot iron and press over the stain allowing it to absorb into the paper bag.

If stains remain use 3 percent hydrogen peroxide to bleach out the color.
