quality carpet in your house

Most brand-name quality carpet in your house can be divided in to 4 main types. Besides the fiber type, you have to take into account pile depth, pile density, and texture.

Increased density the number of yarn tufts in a given area usually means a better appearance, feel, and durability.

Also, a dense low-pile, design, which represents a pebbly, uniform surface, is generally the easiest to vacuum.

Most irregular surfaces, like twist and shag carpeting, tend to trap the dirt in the pile.

Carpet Materiels

Nylon

The longest-wearing synthetic material, nylon resists stains and is resilient. It is not as springy as wool, but it is easily cleaned, although the colors tend to fade when exposed to sunlight. It has a level loop pile.

Polypropylene

It has a plush/cut-pile and resists fading, because the pigment is built into the fiber. It is the least durable and soil-resistant of synthetics.Do not use it where it will receive heavy wear.

Polyester

This material also known as berber approximates the softness of wool and has bright, clear, fade-resistant colors and excellent stain resistance. It is less expensive and less resilient than nylon.

Wool

Wool is soft, durable, fade-resistant, and rich looking, but it is expensive and less resistant to stains than synthetics. Of all carpeting materials, wool is the most resilient, it springs back after you walk on it.
