Act quickly to blot up as much of the spill from the carpet as possible while it is still wet. Be careful not to spread the stain further on the carpet. Use a non oily polish remover to get the stain out. Test it first on a hidden part of the carpet. If it does not damage the fibers, or remove the color from the carpet, use it with great care. Place a small amount on the stain and blot with the corner of a paper towel. Do not rub the stain deeper in to the carpet. Blot carefully until the stain is removed.
