Ink stain removal on carpet can be difficult. I have a tip that is worth trying. Ink can be removed from carpet and the carpet can be saved if you act quickly.
It is a difficult stain to get out, but with these tips you can avoid having to buy a new carpet. Ink Stain Removal Tips Get some sour milk and apply directly to the stain. Soak it up with a clean cloth. Add some ammonia to warm water, and blot up the stain. Allow to dry and vacuum clean.
To give a carpet a fresh scent, sprinkle a little cornstarch on the carpet. Wait about an hour and then vacuum. The sight of ink on carpet does not mean that it is ruined. It should be cleaned immediately or it may be difficult to get out. Permanent ink like a magic marker may be very difficult to remove. Rubbing Alcahol The best way to remove ink from carpet is to use rubbing alcohol. Rinse with cool water. Hot water will set the stain in the carpet fibers. Always check on an area of carpet that will not be seen, in case it causes any damage to the carpet fibers or the color. Pour some rubbing alcohol on a clean white cloth. Blot the alcohol on to the carpet fibers. Do not rub, it will make the stain worse. Wait about 30 minutes, to give time for the ink stain to dissolve. Make a solution of cream of tarter and hydrogen peroxide. Fill a small cup with cream of tartar, and add hydrogen peroxide until you have a thick paste. Apply to the stain and let it dry.
