Home Remedies
There are many home remedies for cleaning carpet, all you have to do is look in your kitchen cabinets and under the sink. Club soda is great to use on spills, and works on any kind of carpet. Follow these steps, with any stains on your carpet. It is important that you do not make the stain more difficult to get out, before you start. 1. Blot up as much moisture as you can, and lay paper towels on the spill to soak up most of the moisture. 2. Scrape up any solids. 3. Pour club soda on the spill. The carbonation will bubble up and the spill so it can be blotted up, with a towel, or paper napkins. 4. When you spot clean do not rub the stain, it will only spread it deeper into the fibers. Beer
First, blot up as much as you can with a mop, or you can use paper towels. Then soak the area with club soda, and blot again. You may need to repeat this process a few times to get the beer out. Beer will become difficult to remove, if it is not taken care of quickly. Chocolate Soak with 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide mixed with 1 teaspoon of ammonia. Allow to soak for 20 minutes, and you guessed it, blot. Once the stain is gone, flush with club soda. And again you know by now, blot. Coffee Hot coffee is like brown dye on the carpet, so pour on some club soda and blot. If the stain remains try some hydrogen peroxide. Gum Freeze with a bag of ice, then chip up all you can. How does gum get on the carpet you may ask, well you can always blame the kids. Ink Spray on hair spray or blot with rubbing alcohol. Red Wine It may require opening a new bottle of wine, white wine that is, and pouring it on the red stain. follow with club soda and blot dry. Dents Caused by Furniture Legs Easy solution, don't move the furniture. You already have ! Don't worry i have a tip. Put ice cubes in the indentations, and let them melt.
