Oil based stains include auto oil, hair oil, mousse, hand lotion, lard, butter, bacon, salad dressing, and suntan lotion.

You can remove the stain with baking soda.Sprinkle the area with baking soda and wait 6 hours, for the baking soda to absorb the stain. Then vacuum up the stain.

Moths can damage clothes but they can also damage carpets. They sometimes lay their eggs in the carpet. Put 1 tablespoon of liquid ammonia in to a bowl of hot water. Soak a cloth, and then wring it out.

Fold in to four and place on the patch where the moth has been. Go over the cloth with a warm iron, until it is dry. This will kill any eggs laid by the moth.
