Coffee Stain Carpet

Clean coffee stain carpet before it permanently stains the carpet. You know how easy it is for coffee to stain, and is not easy to remove. Just like drinking coffee can stain your teeth.

Any liquid on carpet is not good, whether it is water coffee or any other liquid. Different stains require different cleaning methods. Coffee spilled on carpet is almost like a dye, because it can stain the carpet fibers very quickly. The best thing to do is to clean up the spill as quickly as possible.

Blot up as much of the spill as possible with paper towels. Then pour some club soda on the area of the spill. Blot up the club soda with paper towels or an old clean towel. Pour on some more club soda and blot dry again. You may have to do this several times.

Do not use soap and water on a coffee stain, because it will set the stain. This is a common mistake that most people make. Soap and water can work well on other types of stain but not for a coffee stain on carpet.

By cleaning the spill before it dries in, you have a good chance that it will not stain your carpet. After the coffee has dried in, it is much more difficult to remove the stain.
