Clean Bedroom
Many people associate a clean bedroom with punishment. With some cleaning home tips it dosen't have to be. I can remember my mom telling me to clean my room. It was a job that I hated. It is not good to sleep in a room filled with clutter and dust. Your bedroom should be a clean and comfortable place where you can relax and sleep. A good nights sleep is important for well-being and health. Keep distractions to a good nights sleep such as televisions, phones and computers out of the bedroom. Regular vacuuming is important, to keep dust and dander levels low. The room should be vacuumed twice a week. Use a vacuum cleaner that has a hepa filter, to prevent dust particles from blowing back into the air. Dusting is also important. Dust contains pollen, dander, and pollutants. You should dust twice a week, so that you do not have to breathe it in while you are asleep. Do not hang clothes that have been to the dry cleaner, in your bedroom. Many of the cleaning solvents are very toxic. Next time use a non toxic dry cleaner. Cleaning Carpets A soiled carpet is not something you want where you are sleeping. If you do not treat a stain properly it can make it worse. Many cleaning products that you can buy, contain harsh chemicals and strong fragrances. Bedding Bedding should be cleaned with nontoxic laundry products. Cotton sheets are often sprayed with pesticides. When purchasing cotton sheets you should look for green or organic cotton. They may be more expensive, but you will avoid the toxic chemicals. I hate to tell you that mattresses, also contain pesticides and fungicides. Look for an organic mattress. Use a zip on mattress cover to reduce allergens and dust mites. Daily Cleanup Pick up stuff on the floors, and hang it up or put it in the laundry basket, Make your bed every morning. A clutter free clean bedroom will mean a better nights sleep. Related Articles Leave Clean Bedroom Page and Return to Spring Cleaning Tips Page. Return to Carpet Stains Home Page.
