Carpet Odor Removal

Carpet odor removal can be achieved without using toxic detergents. We do not use shampoo that can leave a residue in the carpet when eliminating pet odors.

One of the best home remedies for pet odors is to use baking soda. It is a natural product that soaks up odors and does not mask them. Always spot test first to make sure that it does not do any damage to the fibers.

Baking Soda

Sprinkle baking soda on the carpet and leave it overnight. Vacuum it up the next day. Baking soda is good for removing odor but it is also good for stain removal from carpet.

You can clean up pet vomit by sprinkiling baking soda on it. Wait until it soaks up the moisture and dries. Pick up the large clumps and then vacuum.

It will remove the stain and also prevent odors. A little baking soda in the litter box will also prevent odors. Urine can change the color of carpet.

It can bleach the color from the carpet. A damp rag soaked with a mild ammonia solution, may bring back the color.

This can happen when the stain is not cleaned properly to begin with. These remedies will prevent a stain or odor from setting in. But it is always better to call a professional carpet cleaner.
