Carpet Cleaning Nassau County

What is the best carpet cleaning nassau county ? You have a choice between several carpet cleaning systems. There are five major long Island carpet cleaning systems. We have our favorite which we think is the best, but we want you to know all of the choices that are available.

Extraction

This method is known as steam cleaning. This is the most common method used by professional carpet cleaners. Hot water is forced into the carpet under pressure followed by extraction of the dirty solution. It is known as steam cleaning but it is only hot water that is used, not steam.

  • Advantages This method cleans the deepest and removes the most dirt.
  • Disadvantages Water can remain in the carpet and it can take some time to dry. If you rent a carpet cleaner you must not leave the carpet too wet. Rental equipment often does not have the suction power to get out most of the water.

    Rotary Cleaning

This uses a rotary nylon brush that scrubs detergent into the carpet from a tank on the machine. The dirty solution is sucked up with a wet vacuum.

  • Advantages Cleans by scrubbing the fibers. Removes most dirt.
  • Disadvantages Skill is needed to avoid over wetting. Two machines are needed, a floor machine and a wet vac. It is a lot of work and requires two people, one for each machine. Takes more time to clean the carpet.

    Foam Cleaning

Foam is scrubbed into the carpet using nylon brushes. the solution is removed with a wet vac. then is vacuumed with a regular vacuum cleaner.

  • Advantages Carpet remains dry, the foam does not over wet the carpet. It dries quickly.

  • Disadvantages Not good at removing deep stains. Residue may be left in the carpet that may attract dirt, and cause the carpet to get dirty more quickly.

    Dry Powder

A dry powder is sprinkled onto the carpet and scrubbed in with nylon brushes. The powder holds the dirt and is then vacuumed up.

  • Advantages No chance of water damage. Carpets remain dry.

  • Disadvantages Not good for deep soiling. The powder is difficult to vacuum up, and if any remains in the fibers, it can re stain it.

Bonnet Cleaning Liquid cleaner is sprayed on the carpet. A cotton bonnet is used with a floor machine to soak up the solution.

  • Advantages the carpet does not get wet.

  • Disadvantages Not as good on heavy stains. The rotary motion can damage fibers.
