Carpet Cat Odor

Carpet cat odor can spread around the house quickly. Air ducts can spread the odor to every room in the house.

If the cat pee reaches the sub-floor by soaking through the carpet it will be more difficult to remove. The good thing about carpets is that it holds the moisture and odor until you can remove it. Chemical cleaners work on hard surfaces, only if you get to the stain quickly.

There are cleaners use oxygen which also works well on old stains and odors. . Many of them use hydrogen peroxide which breaks down the the stain and odor with the help of oxygen.

Enzyme cleaners can be purchased at pet supply stores. Carpet shampoo removes dirt but does not remove odors. If you do not have any odors in the carpet, regular carpet shampoo will clean it, and make it look like new.

Removing odors from carpet is a more difficult task. Now you know about enzyme cleaners, and you will be able to remove odors from your carpet yourself.

Most regular cleaners will not remove dried in pet odors. This is the main reason why it is so difficult to remove pet odors from carpet.
