Best Carpet Cleaning Methods

What are the best carpet cleaning methods for your carpet?

We all know that regular maintenance is needed, not only to extend the life of the carpet but also for health reasons.

Animal Dander

As carpet can be home to dust mites, mold and mildew, animal dander, bacteria, pollen and viruses.

Also many fibers are treated with chemicals at the factory.

Floors are also contaminated with everything that is carried in from the outside on shoes. Regular maintenance is needed to keep down biological contaminants.

Steam Cleaning

In my view deep steam process and regular vacuuming is the best carpet cleaning methods that will keep your carpet looking new.

We use several different detergents, and if you like, you can choose a detergent without perfumes and chemical pesticides in the shampoos.

If you want to shampoo carpets yourself, you can use your own perfume and additive-free detergent, that you can purchase at a health-food store.

But be very careful not to leave the Carpet too wet as this can cause many problems.

Club Soda

Club soda is an all-purpose stain remover for stains such as coffee, wine, and fruit juice. Sprinkle club soda over stains straight from the bottle and blot dry with a clean absorbent cloth

methods to avoid

Many people have used these methods in their home and many have been disappointed.

Shampooing

Uses a machine with a brush and cleaner mixed with water applied to the carpet. The brush does not pick up any dirt. It swirls around to create a foam.

Then they let it dry and vacuum up the crystals. Not as clean as it should be.

Spin Bonnet

Adapts floor-buffing techniques to carpets. A round absorbent pad, is dipped into the cleaning solution, and then spun around.

The bonnet is to be removed and cleaned when it is visibly dirty.

But it only cleans the top of the carpeting. It grinds in dirt , creates detergent buildup, and can damage the fibers.

Dry Cleaning

Is touted as a method that will not cause over wetting of the carpet. It uses an absorbent granular material, with solvent.

It is spread over the carpet and brushed in, left to absorb stains and soil, and then vacuumed up.But it does not work well as it evaporates in the air.

Using Doormats

This removes a great deal of dirt that would otherwise get walked into the house. Always wipe your feet, and some people also remove their shoes before coming inside.
