Baby Food Stains



Baby food stains can dry in to the carpet and become difficult to get out. Quickly cleaning the stain, before it dries in is the best solution. When you have a baby you can spend a lot of time on your carpet cleaning stains. These helpful tips will prevent a spill becoming a stain.

Food for an infant is made up of many different ingredients, and is a runny substance that can quickly soak deep in to the fibers of the carpet. When it dries it is already deep down in the carpet.

A home-made solution is a good way to clean the stain when acting quickly will make all the difference.

Home Made Solution

1. Mix 1 tablespoon of dishwashing detergent with 2 cups of warm water.

2. Dab the stain with the solution.

3. Blot until all the liquid is dried up.

4. If the stain is still in the carpet, mix one tablespoon of ammonia with 2 cups of warm water.

5. Dab the stain with the ammonia mixture.

6. Blot until the liquid is soaked up.

7. Rinse with cold water and blot dry

Before cleaning, always test first to prevent any damage to the carpet.
